This outfit started with these light-wash baggy jeans from American Eagle. I’m wearing a size 10, and I love how comfortable and stretchy they are. They give me the relaxed, baggy look I wanted without feeling too tight around my stomach.
For reference, I’m 5’1″ and around 140lbs, and the size 10 fits me comfortably. If I wanted a slightly more fitted look through the waist and hips, I could probably size down, but I actually like the relaxed fit for this outfit. The distressing also gives the jeans that casual, lived-in look that works so well with sneakers.
Adding a pinstripe vest for early fall
To dress the jeans up a little, I paired them with this burgundy pinstripe suit vest from SHEIN. I’m wearing a size medium, and I would say it fits true to size.
I really love the fit of this vest. It gives the outfit some structure and makes a simple pair of baggy jeans feel more put together without making the outfit feel dressy.
