There’s something about a white T-shirt and jeans outfit that just works every single time. It’s simple, comfortable, and gives you the perfect blank canvas to add a little personality. For this look, I paired one of my favorite white cropped T-shirts from SHEIN with a pair of light-wash distressed jeans I thrifted, then let the accessories do the rest.
Instead of keeping everything basic, I added a green trucker hat from Walmart, a leopard-print purse, and my Steve Madden leopard-print sneakers that I found on clearance at Burlington. The leopard print was exactly what this outfit needed to make a simple tee and jeans feel a little more like me.
And funny enough, this simple outfit ended up doing more than just giving me something cute to wear. After sharing it online, it went on to generate $220.31 in affiliate commissions, which is another reminder of why I love creating content around clothes I’m already wearing.
But before we get into that part of the story, let’s talk about the outfit and why these leopard sneakers worked so well with such a simple look.

Starting with a simple white T-shirt and jeans
The base of this outfit really couldn’t be any simpler: a white T-shirt and light wash jeans. The cropped tee is from SHEIN, and it’s one of those basic pieces I love having in my closet because I can wear it with just about anything. The jeans were a thrift find, which makes me love them even more. They have that relaxed, slightly distressed look that makes the outfit feel casual without looking like I didn’t put any thought into it.
I’m a big believer that you don’t need an entirely new outfit every time you get dressed. Sometimes it’s really about taking basics you already own and figuring out what you can add to make them feel different. With this outfit, the white tee and jeans were the starting point, but the sneakers and accessories are what gave the look its personality.
Adding leopard print sneakers to a white T-shirt and jeans outfit
The Steve Madden leopard print sneakers are easily my favorite part of this outfit. I found them on clearance at Burlington, and they’re exactly the kind of sneaker I love because they can make a really simple outfit feel more interesting without me having to do too much.
Because the rest of the outfit is pretty neutral, the leopard print gets to be the statement. I also love how they look with the light wash denim. It’s an easy way to wear an animal print if you like leopard but don’t necessarily want to wear a leopard top, pants, or jacket.
If the exact pair I’m wearing is no longer available, I’d add a few similar leopard print sneakers so you can recreate the same look.

Matching my sneakers with a leopard print bag
I could have stopped with the sneakers, but I decided to bring the leopard print into the outfit one more time with my Walmart purse.
I like that the bag and sneakers coordinate without being a perfect match. Having the print in two different places makes the outfit feel intentional, while the white T-shirt and jeans keep everything from feeling too busy.
Then I added my green Walmart trucker hat. It gives the outfit another pop of color and keeps that casual, everyday feel I love.
This is also one of my favorite ways to make basics feel different. If you wear the same white tee and jeans tomorrow with white sneakers and a different bag, you’ve basically created an entirely different look without buying another outfit.
Why I love styling jeans with statement sneakers
If you’ve been around JusCallMeNicki for a while, you already know sneakers are usually where I have the most fun with an outfit.
A white T-shirt and jeans can work with almost any sneaker in your closet, which makes this combination such an easy outfit formula to repeat. Instead of thinking you need another pair of jeans or another top, try changing the sneakers.
You could wear this same combination with colorful sneakers, retro sneakers, a bold Nike pair, or even a simple white sneaker depending on the look you’re going for.
For me, the leopard sneakers were the right choice because they took two basics I already loved and made the entire outfit feel more like my personal style.

The outfit that made me $220.31
Here’s where this particular outfit gets even more interesting.
I originally put it together because I liked it. The shirt was already in my closet, my jeans were thrifted, my sneakers came from the clearance section, and my accessories were affordable Walmart finds. There was nothing particularly calculated about it.
Then I shared the outfit online.
That simple white T-shirt and jeans outfit eventually generated $220.31 in affiliate commissions.
I actually shared the full story on YouTube because I think it’s such a good example of how everyday content can turn into income. I didn’t need an expensive designer outfit or a huge production. I wore something I genuinely liked, created content around it, shared the products I could link, and people shopped.

And if affiliate marketing is something you want to learn more about, this is exactly the kind of thing I talk about in my affiliate marketing guide. I share what I’ve learned from actually creating content, sharing products I already use and turning those recommendations into another stream of income.
Recreate this white T-shirt and jeans outfit
The best part about this look is that you probably already have most of what you need to recreate it.
Start with your favorite white T-shirt and a pair of light wash jeans. Then, instead of reaching for your usual neutral sneakers, add a statement pair. Leopard print worked for me, but the idea is really to let your sneakers add some personality to an otherwise simple outfit.
Finish it with a fun bag, hat, and a little jewelry, and you have an easy casual outfit that works for running errands, grabbing coffee, shopping, or just getting out of the house.
You can shop my outfit and similar pieces on LTK if you want to recreate the look. Some of my exact pieces were thrifted or clearance finds, so I’ll also link similar options whenever the exact item is no longer available.
That’s probably what I love most about this outfit. Nothing about it is complicated. It’s a white T-shirt, thrifted jeans, sneakers, and a few fun accessories. But sometimes those simple outfits end up being the ones I love wearing, sharing, and apparently, the ones you guys love shopping too.
Now I want to hear from you! Are you a statement sneaker girl, or would you keep this white T-shirt and jeans outfit simple with a neutral pair? Let me know in the comments. And if you’re loving the leopard print, tell me which piece you’d wear first: the sneakers or the bag?
